Knowing we have regular gifts coming in, often boosted by Gift Aid, helps us make the most of every pound to ensure the engine is running as much as possible.

We currently have two classes of 'friend' subscription, 'Driver' and 'Fireman'. See below for a description of each class and the benefits they bring you.

Driver (£20/month for 50 months, or £1,000)

• An invitation for you and a guest to travel on our annual 'friends' lunch train, with lunch included

• A quarterly prize draw for a chance to ride on the footplate of Black Prince
